Farren, September 17, 2015 - Another milestone month for HW Farren LLC transporting Big Helicopters. Our June was a great month, August was another safe successful month of large aircraft transport.
We started off the month transporting the twelfth CH-47 Chinook across the United States to Columbia Helicopters in Aurora Oregon.
Following that we transported a special CH-47 airframe from Columbia Helicopters to Simplex Aerospace Portland Oregon for design, fabrication of a special internal tank system for firefighting applications. Once all work is completed we will transport the airframe back to Columbia.
Following the two CH-47 deliveries, we transported three of the Columbia 107 airframes between Columbia facilities. We have been honored to have been chosen by Columbia to transport their aviation assets. Congratulations came to Glenn Wargo from Columbia Vice President Kurt Koehnke for planning and coordinating the safe delivery of these aircraft.
Our drivers headed by Derek Smith did an outstanding job in transporting these aircraft. During the month we transported a group of the UH-60A BEST Blackhawk helicopters between locations in Alabama.
We ended the month transporting another CH-148 Canadian Maritime Helicopter from the Sikorsky Plattsburgh facility to Sikorsky Troy Alabama, and another from Sikorsky Troy to Sikorsky Jupiter Florida. These are in addition to a number of other production helicopters safely transported.
