Columbia Helicopters, April 24, 2023 - Aurora, Oregon – Columbia Helicopters, a global leader in heavy-lift helicopter OEM, MRO, and operations, recently deployed three Columbia Model 234 Multi-Mission Chinook Helicopters to transport critical supplies to remote and inaccessible regions for humanitarian efforts in Africa.
In the first few weeks, the company transported over 346 tons of essential supplies, including food, water, and other critical items in Burkina Faso.
These efforts were aimed at supporting vulnerable people, including pregnant women and young children, and assisting those in need.
The company responded swiftly to the emergency and deployed aircraft from Turkey to Africa to provide humanitarian support quickly and safely.
Columbia Helicopters provided a full turnkey service, including pilots, crew, and maintenance personnel to support the aircraft.
