HSI Texas, January 13, 2025 - Helicopter Services Inc. (HSI) of Spring, Texas, announced fulfillment of completion services for the East Baton Rouge Mosquito Abatement and Rodent Control agency’s new Airbus H125 helicopter, which will help protect residents in that heavily populated portion of Louisiana from mosquito-borne hazards.
Mike Crossland, HSI General Manager said “Aircraft such as this new delivery H125 for the East Baton Rouge program are a real game changer for health and safety of the public. Combining a very modern equipment complement along with the precision of helicopter aerial application methods brings many advantages over prior fixed-wing delivery platforms.”
The East Baton Rouge aircraft completion is another of several aerial mosquito control helicopters which HSI delivered in 2024.
Other aerial application agencies such as Florida Keys Mosquito Control District have chosen HSI for turn-key services on new aircraft. And airborne public safety agencies along with private owners also rely on the company. HSI keeps in close contact with clients during and after each aircraft project to ensure maximum effective outcomes.
Glen Wilkinson, East Baton Rouge aircraft manager said “The team at Helicopter Services has been in touch and is good to work with”
HSI’s staff brings decades of experience installing leading avionics and aerial application equipment to satisfy the unique needs of these types of programs. HSI technicians are well-versed in installations of components from Isolair, Goodrich Hoist, Wescam, MX-10, AEM Geneva Panel, Shot Over, ARS, SpectroLab, Illuminator and Trakka searchlights.
In an innovative move, HSI offers its Airbus aircraft acquisition and completions via the GSA marketplace, and continues to be the only company on GSA focused solely on the helicopter industry.
“We are proud to help clients maximize acquisition efficiencies via the GSA offering and our ‘helicopters only’ approach; our efforts are fully focused on rotorcraft,” said Robin Crossland.
And HSI has announced it is now offering its leading completion services to air medical operators. Mike Crossland said the move into air medical completions fills a key need in the industry. “We have spoken with many operators across the U.S. looking for additional completion options,” said Crossland. “Offering our expertise with a wide variety of airframes is a natural step to serve air medical clients.”
For agencies new to rotary wing operations, HSI streamlines what can be a steep knowledge curve for aircraft outfitting. Key to this service is HSI’s one vendor/one stop comprehensive service level easing communication during the completion process.
“Thanks to our experienced in-house team, change orders occur via a simplified, direct process, reducing project time and improving effectiveness.”
HSI offers high quality completion and service offerings across airframes from Airbus, Bell, MD Helicopters and Robinson aircraft. HSI is a longtime Airbus Authorized reseller, Garmin Dealer, U.S. sales rep for HeliTowCart, Genesys Aerosystems Dealer, Freeflight Systems Dealer, StartStick Dealer, Robinson Dealer and Service Center, Avidyne Dealer among many fine brands.
Additional agencies choosing HSI for their completion and service needs include Florida Keys Mosquito Control District, Missouri Department of Conservation, Harris County Sheriff’s Office, City of Austin, New York City DOHMH, Houston Police Department, Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office and others.
