Saudi Arabia MD530F Support Contract

MD Helicopters awarded contract to support the 12 MD530F primary training helicopter fleet currently in service with the Saudi Arabian National Guard.





Saudi Arabia MD530F Support Contract
MD Helicopters, November 12, 2014 - MEZA, AZ - MD Helicopters, Inc. has been awarded a firm fixed price contract to support the MD 530F primary training helicopter fleet currently in service with the Saudi Arabian National Guard.

Awarded by the Department of the Army, Army Contracting Command-Redstone Arsenal, the initial contract value is $976,222 for a period of performance through October 2015.

The award also includes four one-year options that extend the total value of the contract to $5,118,969.

All work will be performed by a dedicated Contractor Field Service Representative (CFSR) within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

From the provision of in-country technical knowledge to full service, on-site CLS management, MDHI offers comprehensive customer service and support capabilities ranging from training, troubleshooting and maintenance, to primary program support intended to ensure operational readiness and efficiency of both aviators and aircraft. The MDHI-provided CFSR will provide expertise in the areas of airframe systems and sub-systems unique to the Office of Program Management Saudi Arabian National Guard (OPM SANG), and will work in conjunction with Vinnell Arabia, the current CLS provider for these aircraft.

Twelve MD 530F primary training aircraft have been in service with the Saudi Arabian National Guard since March of 2013.

During this time, 29 Saudi pilots have logged more than 3,000 flight hours in the performance of a variety of training missions.
