
Panterra Heli Support, May 21, 2024 - Beamsville, Ontario & Batesville, Indiana - Panterra Heli Support announced they acquired a newly repurposed Sikorsky Black Hawk helicopter modified for firefighting and utility work.
Dallas Avionics equipped the new tactical equipment that was installed at Ace Aeronautics, Guntersville, Alabama.

All the equipment we ordered from Dallas Avionics was designed to give an operator or owner the most advance communications equipment available on the market.”
The new aircraft’s avionics and communications package comes equipped with Dual TDFM 136B VHF/FM transceivers from Technisonic. Multiple (3) JA95 audio controllers, JA40 ICS tie line isolation transformer, JA31 intercom bus selector, JA34 universal blue tooth radio adapter, JA72 glove box with dual charging ports, and multiple JA74 USB C Ports from Jupiter Avionics.
It has Flightcell DZMX satcom and USFS tracking with Wi-Fi, Fire, and Loadcell apps. In addition, it also has Flightcell SmartHub and cockpit camera system; and lastly, an AEM LSS440 PA system.
It has Garmin Dual GTN750h xi (NVG) cw data card Americas, GTX 345 DR Transponder, and a GAE 12 Encoder.

In addition to the navigation and communication equipment, the retrofitted Black Hawk also has a new RMCI HUMS XRDS for monitoring. Exhaust assemblies were added from Aerometals. New LED lights, a Max Pulse pulselight flaser, fuel reclamation kit, vertical reference kit, locking fuel cap, Bambi bucket fill connection, max connection, cargo hook with weigh system and provisions for Helitak Firefighting equipment were installed.
