Ecocopter by Helisul, December 12, 2025 - Santiago, Chile - Ecocopter by Helisul has achieved a new milestone by winning, for the first time, the maintenance contract for the helicopters of the Chilean Investigative Police (PDI).
This strategic contract will ensure the operational continuity and optimal availability of the Air Police Brigade's fleet, a unit under the National Special Operations Headquarters.
The two-year contract provides comprehensive support from the Ecocopter by Helisul Aeronautical Maintenance Center (CMA), which will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Airbus AS350 B3 and EC135 T2 aircraft, essential for police operations, rescues, aerial surveillance, and tactical missions.
The Chilean Investigative Police (PDI) projects a total of 1,800 flight hours during the contract period, requiring high standards of technical safety and operational continuity.
“For Ecocopter by Helisul, this award reflects the confidence in our technical capabilities and the professionalism of our teams. We proudly assume the responsibility of supporting a key institution for the country in its air operations,” highlighted Hernán Leiva, the company’s Maintenance Manager.
The CMA has extensive experience in Airbus aircraft maintenance and boasts certified specialists, audited processes, and state-of-the-art equipment. This ensures efficient and reliable interventions that meet international standards. “We are committed to ensuring that every aircraft in the Air Police Brigade operates in optimal condition because we understand that behind every flight are missions critical to the safety and security of people and the country,” added Leiva.
With this step, Ecocopter by Helisul reinforces its position as a regional leader in advanced aeronautical services, contributing its experience and technology to strengthening the PDI's air capabilities.
