PZL-Mielec, December 04, 2018 - Warsaw - In the presence of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and the Minister of Interior and Administration Joachim Brudziński, PZL Mielec solemnly handed over two modern S-70i Black Hawk helicopters to the Police Headquarters.
The delivery of two multirole Black Hawk helicopters followed a contract signed in May this year. The contract also provides training for ground staff and pilots, a logistics package and service support in the first period of use.
“The police have set not only a responsible but ambitious task for us. We are proud to present two reliable, durable, produced in Poland helicopters Black Hawk in 6 months from signing the contract, and Poland joins the group of countries that chose this proven machine” said Janusz Zakręcki, President of the Board, Chief Executive of PZL Mielec.
“Modernization of uniformed services is an important and responsible task. One of its elements is the modernization of the Police aviation. We are proud that the Black Hawk helicopters produced in Mielec can be part of this plan and serve national security from today”, he added.
The ceremony took place in the hangar of the Police Aviation Administration, in which machines will be stationed on a daily basis. They will provide support for anti-terrorist activities carried out by the Anti-Terrorist Operations Office.
