Rescue from f/v Ghandhi

Around noon on 22 Nov, the Spanish Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre received a call from the 20 metre, 60 tonne fishing vessel Ghandhi that she was taking on water, c 150nm SW of Lisbon. A further message was received stating the water flow was no longer under control.

A Merlin SAR helicopter was launched from Portugal and the 9 crew members were lifted to safety and taken to Lisbon.
