A young woman had been swept out to sea while paddleboarding off the Praia do Coelho, near Vila Real de Santo António on Portugals Algarve coast on Sat 15 Apr.
The search operation underway had not yet found her, until a container ship reported that she had been picked up. A Merlin from Esq 751 was despatched from Montijo and airlifted her to hospital.
