A 71 year old woman was medically evacuated by a Merlin of Esq 751 from the cruise liner MSC Virtuosa, which was underway, c 195nm SW of Montijo. During this part of the operation, a P-3C of Esq 601 provided on-scene support.
The woman was flown directly to Lisbon International for onward transfer by a specialist life support ambulance.
