Gulf Helicopters
Established in February 1973 as a joint venture company involving British Overseas Airways, British European Helicopters and Gulf Aviation Services to provide a helicopter service to oil companies developing the offshore exploration and production industry. In March 1977, Gulf Aviation Company Ltd. purchased all the company shares and in 1998 was purchased by Qatar General Petroleum Corporation, a company fully owned by the Government of the State of Qatar.


Pratt & Whitney Canada in the Middle East, 26-Apr-17 : Pratt & Whitney Canada Europe (joint venture of P&WC and MTU Germany) and Gulf Helicopters opened the Middle East Support Base as Premium Service Provider (PSP) for Pratt & Whitney in the region

Gulf Helicopters AW139s achieves 75,000 Hours,, 09-Nov-15 : Dubai Airshow 2015 Gulf Helicopters 17 AW139s used for offshore operations have achieved 75,000 flight hours while the four AW189s, of 15 ordered, have exceeded 1,000 flight hours

Gulf Helicopters AW189 Enters Service, 10-Dec-14 : MEBA 2014 Qatar Gulf Helicopters, Middle-East launch customer, first four AW189 are now in service supporting offshore oil and gas operations. Deliveries of all 15 helicopters on order to be completed in 2017
