Established in 1955, Whirly-Girls International is a non-profit, educational, and charitable organization dedicated to advancing women in helicopter aviation by providing scholarships, maintaining a presence at rotorcraft and aviation-themed events, offering mentoring, educational, and career support, and advocating for the acceptance of helicopters in the community through public education and awareness of their utility and versatility.
