Located at Marignane, Marseille-Provence in France, the Helisim Training Academy was formed in 2000 by Eurocopter (45%, now Airbus), Thales Training & Simulation (45%) and DCI (Défense Conseil International) (10%). Since 2002, operates simulators for the Super Puma L1 and L2, the AS 365 N2 Dauphin, the EC155 and the EC 225 and from 2009 for the NH90.

The world's first H160 FFS was implemented at Helisim in Marignane, France in August 2020 with approximately 1,500 flight hours accrued as of March 2022.
