Based in the North of France, the Dunkirk maritime pilot station began employing helicopters in 1990. The service is available 24/7/365 and operates in all meteorological conditions. As of 2023, it handles operations for 5,800 vessels annually, with plans to introduce new H135 aircraft in 2025
