SASv operates helicopters from Glasgow and Inverness and a fixed wing service from Aberdeen. The independent SCAA operates from Perth, to close the critical coverage gap.
Part of NHS Scotland (Healthcare system), is the only government-funded air ambulance service in the UK, operated under contract by Gama Aviation and under sub-contract by the Bond Air Services now Babcock
