| MM-405 | A NAS Dallas / Hensley Field | accident w/o crashed in this helo. I was the crewchief HML-767 “ Nov 18, 1982 was the fourth anniversary of the Jones town massacre. The weather was not too good so we filed a special VFR flight plan because our wingman was single piloted. He had a crew chief in the left seat. We were a flight of two and were on a routine cross country RON. We left Dallas TX for NAS NOLA which is where we were out of. In Morgan City LA we had a wire strike. The resulting accident killed my pilot and injured my co pilot and myself. ” | |
