Apr/Oct 1973, I was crew chief on this bird as HMM-165 /YW-05, Operation Endsweep, then tasked on-off to Operation Eagle Pull (which never happened). Returned "home" to Okinawa by hitching a ride aboard USS Denver (LPD-9). Bird was later ferried to Tokyo for overhaul after which I never saw it again.
