The Heliport (previously known as Tremorfa / Cardiff Foreshore) closed at the end of Nov 2014, when BIH withdrew its operations.
After c 18 months, a new lease was agreed with Cardiff Council and the site re-opened as Cardiff City Heliport on 1 Jul 2016 but the lessee withdrew in spring of 2018. On 1 Jul 2018, Wales Air Ambulance took over the heliport lease.
