Before its closure, RNLAF Base Ypenburg had a 2450m hard runway aligned 05-23 with SAFE-BAR gear at both ends by 1976. Almost all traces of the base have now disappeared beneath businesses, housing, parks and the A4 motorway, to the south east of Den Haag.
