Built 1942-1944 as an RAAF relief landing ground and commissioned as a RAN station in Feb 1945 but soon returned to RAAF. Re-commissioned as a RAN Repair Yard in 1951. Decommissioned for flying in 1994. Most of the buildings have been removed since c 2007 and little but cracked tarmac now remains.
