The Dan field spans Blocks 5505/13 and 5505/17 of the Danish sector of the North Sea. In 2006, it consisted of platforms Dan-A to Dan-E and Dan-FA to Dan-FF clustered around 55 28 N, 005 07 E. The accommodation platforms, Dan-B and Dan-FC had helicopter decks.
The reservoir is similar to Dagmar, uppermost Cretaceous, but the field is faulted into 2 main blocks.
The Dan platforms also receive oil from Kraka and Regnar for treatment before being passed to facilities at Gorm-E. Gas is received from Halfdan and is passed on to Tyra East for export.
