The Halfdan Field was discovered and came into production in 1999. It is another field with Upper Cretaceous reservoir rocks, here with the south western section containing oil in the Maastrichian chalk and towards the north east holding gas in the overlying Danian chalk. The platforms sit in c 40-45m of the North Sea.
