AgustaWestland teamed with Lockheed-Martin for the USAF Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR-X) competition to replace the
HH-60G Pave Hawk. The one that will presumably become the
HH-71B lost out to the Boeing
HH-47.
The EH101 had previously competed (and lost) as the
VH-71A for a new U.S. presidential helicopter
