
The Next-Generation Civil Tiltrotor (NGCTR) started preliminary design in 2016 and was scheduled to fly in 2021. It is 20-passenger rotorcraft, larger than the nine-seat AW609 model and with a cruise speed close to 300 knots / 555 kmh. The research portion is funded under Europe’s Clean Sky 2 joint technology initiative.
