Argentine Army Super Pumas were received after the 1982 conflict and assigned mainly for Antarctica supply missions operating from the Navy icebreaker ARA Almirante Irizar. They get the names of crewmen Tte.1ro. Garcia, Tte. Merani and Sgt Segura who died on 10jan77 on the Bell 212 AE-451 accident in Levingston Island Antarctica during a search and rescue mission of an Argentine Naval Aviation SP-2H Neptune aircraft.
The 3 helicopters were grounded in late 1990s. Only in 2012, one was return to fly status by Heli-Union in France.
