This picture ( BuNo 150167 ) is of the SAR hot pads at the center mat MCAS Cherry Point NC. I was attached to Search and Rescue (Pedro) Cherry Point during 1967-1969. This was one of the original four UH-2Bs we had. To my knowledge the only four UH-2Bs that ever had MARINES painted on the side. During my tour two of the four aircraft were sent to SAR MCAS Beaufort, SC. The Navy took the UH-2Bs back and we transitioned into the HH-34J you see on the other pad. Shortly after I left, SAR ended up with the CH-46D
