Securite Civile EC145

The Securite Civile received their first batch of EC145 between 2002 and 2005 in order to replace their aging Alouette III. A second group was delivered from late 2008. This fleet carries out an average 10,000 rescue missions each year. They are deployed on 22 different heliports in both France and the French Overseas Territories. The Securite Civile EC145 are equipped with an emergency flotation system, loudspeakers and a winch. Some airframes also have a searchlight.

On December 2015, Airbus awarded contract to upgrade avionics suite of 35 helicopters between 2016 and 2023 to comply with latest European navigation regulations

Airbus to Retrofit Securite Civile 35 EC145, 12-May-16 : Airbus Helicopters France will upgrade the avionics suite of the 35 EC145 operated by the Sécurité Civile, the national agency for search and rescue and medical evacuation services

France EC145s with 5-Years Support Contract, 12-Nov-15 : Airbus Helicopters awarded contract for a global service solution for the next 5 years covering the entire fleet of 50 EC145 operated by the French Gendarmerie Nationale and Sécurité Civile.

Final EC145 delivered to the French Sécurité Civile, 19-May-05 : Handing over of the EC 145 at Eurocopter Group’s Donauwörth site completes the order of 32 helicopters operated by the French Sécurité Civile launch customer.
