The Slovenian police acquired its first AW169 in 2019 to replace the Bell 212 and 412, followed by a second in 2022 and a third in 2024. These helicopters are used for policing, search and rescue, and humanitarian aid.

Capable of flying in almost all weather conditions, day and night, they are fitted with an external winch, searchlight, rappel equipment, a cargo hook, and a flexible cabin accommodating up to ten passenger seats
