
In August 2023, a plan was announced to acquire at least 12 UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters through the U.S. Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program, replacing the four UH-60L (HM-2, operated by 4 BAvEx) and eight AS532UE Cougar (HM-3). The FMS sale was approved in May 2024, with deliveries initially scheduled to begin in the second half of 2025 at a rate of two helicopters per year.
The first UH-60M was delivered by a USAF C-17 on November 20, 2025. The remaining aircraft are now planned for delivery in 2027 (five units) and 2028 (six units).
