French President visits Airbus Helicopters Mexico
Airbus Helicopters, April 14, 2014 - On Friday, April 11 during his official visit to Mexico, French President Francois Hollande toured Airbus Helicopters’ site in the state of Querétaro along with Airbus Helicopters President Guillaume Faury.
"Airbus Helicopters is honored to welcome President Hollande to our site in Querétaro," said Mr. Faury. "This official visit illustrates the strong relationship that exists between our Group and the Mexican government. For nearly 40 years, we have been committed to supporting Mexico’s missions in the areas of public security and public assistance. This link naturally strengthens our mutual goal of developing a sustainable industrial and technological partnership. "
A production center for high-tech aerospace components, including Airbus airplane doors, the 12,000-square-meter Querétaro site opened last year in the presence of Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto. More than 100 doors for the A320 aircraft were produced onsite in 2013. Airbus Helicopters’ medium-term objective is to increase production to 2,000 doors per year.
