Ejercito de Tierra Español, April 30, 2018 - The 4th "Tercio del Ampurdán" group of Special Operations, belonging to the Special Operations Command (MOE in Spanish) has conducted, from the 11th to the 20th of April, its annual training of its task force teams specialized in Land Tactical Mobility.
"Mobility" exercise has as main aim to train the units in the planning, management and performance of missions in the whole Special Operations' spectrum through the use of Tactics, Techniques and Mobility Procedures for Patrols, having a huge radio of action and a long duration.
Everything has been carried out in Alicante, Murcia and Albacete, in an environment of semidesert, including a complex incorporation in Aerial Special Operations.
With this exercise, it is expected to complete the training of the Specialized teams in long-distance infiltrations, hostile territory and in the use of motorised means. Furthermore, it will assure its full integration with other units or capacities contributed by other external units, being necessary for the accomplishment of the missions.
This has been the case of a team belonging to the Paratrooper Engineers Squadron, which contributed the tactical coordination capacity of aerial space and it also drove aeroplanes and a helicopters' unit of the Aeromobile Forces of the Mixed Army, with combat and transport helicopters, for the aerial projection. The Spanish Air Force has contributed with a plane able to fulfill special operations commitments.
Altogether, these efforts are a way for generating the task forces organizations which are necessary for assuring the achievement of missions demanded by these new stages and threats.
