Helis, September 29, 2017 - North Carolina’ Cape Fear Valley Health air ambulance service will begin operating its new helicopter under the LifeLink Air name.
The Eurocopter EC135P2+ (known now Airbus H135) is scheduled to go into operation next week. It will replace the hospital’s current helicopter operated by University North Carolina Air Care.
The Cape Fear Valley Mobile Integrated Healthcare, formerly known as Cape Fear Valley EMS, and Puppy Creek Fire Department participated in an simulated rescue from Hoke Hospital in Raeford to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Having used ambulance helicopters for more than 20 years, the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center new aircraft is equipped to transport patients suffering from heart episodes, stroke or other life-threatening conditions.
