Babcock Mission Critical Services (MCS) Offshore starting 100 helicopter flights per month next July from Sumburgh, Shetland Islands, northern Scotland, to support oil and gas operations of CNR International, EnQuest and TAQA





Five-Years Contract for Babcock in North Sea
Babcock, March 08, 2020 - Babcock’s Offshore business has secured a new five-year shared contract with three oil and gas operators for helicopter transport in the northern North Sea.

The contract will initially see Babcock operate over 100 helicopter flights each month from Sumburgh in Shetland, on behalf of CNR International, EnQuest and TAQA.

Flights are expected to begin on 1 July 2020.

Babcock Offshore Director, Simon Meakins, said: “We are delighted to welcome this new customer group to Babcock Offshore and look forward to working with them. We are committed to delivering the safe and efficient aviation support they require.”

Babcock Mission Critical Services (MCS) Offshore Limited is a British helicopter operator, specializing in providing offshore helicopter transportation services to North Sea and Irish Sea oil and gas platforms. Part of Babcock International a multinational corporation headquartered in the United Kingdom. Babcock acquired the Avincis Group in 2014 which was the parent company of Bond Offshore Helicopters which served the British oil and gas industries since early 1960s.
