Ecocopter, February 04, 2022 - Santiago, Chile - The H125 is a member of the robust and proven Airbus family. Some 6,500 members (H125, H130, H135, H145, H155) are operating in nearly 120 countries for almost 2,000 operators. Together, these helicopters have accumulated more than 33 million flight hours.

The H125 has been the undisputed leader in its class for at least 30 years and a new helicopter of this type is now joining Ecocopter's fleet to provide various services with high safety standards. This aircraft is mainly used for high performance missions in extreme conditions, either at altitude or where high temperatures prevail.

In fact, the H125 has obtained important world records throughout its history. In 2005, the AS350 B3 broke the world record for the highest altitude landing and takeoff, performed on Mount Everest at 8,848 meters (29,029 feet). And in 2013, it carried out the world's highest long-distance rescue operation on Lhotse, the fourth highest mountain on the planet, located in the Himalayas at 7,800 meters.

"For us, we are proud to have the ninth H125 member of the Ecocopter Chile fleet. With this, our company maintains its leadership in the helicopter industry with an eye on safety, innovation and efficiency that we make available to our customers," says Francisco Arriagada, Ecocopter's Commercial Manager.

The H125 is equipped with a Safran Arriel 2D turboshaft engine with a two-channel full authority digital engine control (FADEC) unit, plus a third independent and automatic backup channel and automatic ignition. The engine is equipped with an engine data logger, has an endurance of 3 hours, a cruise speed of 230 kilometers per hour, can carry 1,400 kilograms at sea level and its flight ceiling is 23 thousand feet. In Chile it will provide multipurpose services such as forest firefighting, passenger transport, internal and external cargo, aeromedical rescue with stretcher for HEMS, and in various aerial works in mining, energy, telecommunications and agriculture with a highly specialized crew with vast experience in the aeronautical world.

The new Ecocopter H125 starts operations in February, and already has all the certificates approved by the DGAC (Directorate General for Civil Aviation), in addition, an artistic painting was applied as indicated by the tradition and seal of the company. Thus, in the skies of Chile, it will be possible to see the aircraft flying over the skies with the design alluding to the flora and fauna of Chile.

About Ecocopter: A company that covers the need to provide efficient and fast aerial solutions to solve the most diverse situations, provides highly complex helicopter services in passenger transport, cargo, off-shore, forest fire fighting and aeromedical transfers, in Chile, Ecuador and Peru, among other services. In addition, Ecocopter has one of the most modern fleets in the Southern
Cone, has its own Maintenance Center (CMA) and an Engine Workshop (Safran Turbomeca), a category 5+ flight simulator, which allows to have the equipment available for a quick response to the demands of the operation.
