FAASA, December 27, 2017 - FAASA Chile, the first subsidiary of the Group founded abroad, and Calquin Helicopters have started the deployment of more than 30 aircraft of different models for the South American wildfire season which will last approximately until the end of April 2018.

Chile and Uruguay will be the countries where the different models of assigned aircraft will operate.

In Chile, customers have included last generation helicopters, such as the AgustaWestland AW119 Koala which provides high speed and long range for survey and firefighting of the forest fires. In the same category also highlights the Airbus H125 which is very versatile for aerial work.

Also the medium-size helicopters, such as the PZL Sokol and the Bell 412, have become relevant. The latter has incorporated a live image transmission system, the only fitted with this innovative technology for the present season. Supporting the helicopters in Chile will be the Air Tractor 802.

For this important deployment of air assets, more than 200 Chileans and Spanish support personnel will work exhaustively for the perfect functioning of the campaign including administrative, pilots, co-pilots, aircraft maintenance technicians, supervisors and the structure itself of the company.

The aircraft will be distributed in more than twenty-five base camps and will be operative until April of 2018.
