Ecocopter, April 15, 2024 - Santiago de Chile - Ecocopter, a leading Chilean aeronautical and aeroservices company in the Southern Cone of Latin America, had an outstanding participation in FIDAE 2024, thanks to the exhibition of its new Airbus H145 helicopter.
The unit presented at the Airbus stand not only attracted the attention of thousands of attendees thanks to its artistic painting that pays tribute to Albert Einstein and his scientific legacy, but also for its modern avionics, its seating arrangement and the configurations for which it is ready for service, which are: air rescue, passenger transfers, hanging loads, industrial work in mining, energy and telecommunications as well as forest firefighting.
Ecocopter's H145 is considered one of the most powerful, safe and modern multipurpose helicopters in the world. With the capacity to carry up to 10 passengers, it can take off and land in areas located above 20,000 feet (such as Mount Aconcagua at 22,840 feet). It has two digitally controlled Safran Arriel 2E high power turbines, dual hydraulic system and redundant lubrication for the main transmission. This makes it unique, in a twin-engine aircraft, for work in the Andes Mountains where it has demonstrated its great versatility.
The Ecocopter unit exhibited at FIDAE also stands out for its autonomy (over three hours of flight or 681 kms), lower fuel consumption (compared to other similar helicopters) and is capable of flying with up to 50% sustainable aviation fuel.
The new H145 "Einstein" is also one of the few units in the continent whose carbon footprint is completely offset in its operations, since Ecocopter is the only helicopter company that is part of the national program "Vuelo Limpio", which promotes the reduction and offsetting of the carbon footprint of the main Chilean aeronautical companies.
