Brazilian Helisul Acquires Chilean Ecocopter

Brazilian helicopter operator Helisul Aviação has acquired 100% of the shares of the Chilean group Ecocopter, which includes Ecocopter Ecuador, thereby becoming the largest air services operator in Latin America





Brazilian Helisul Acquires Chilean Ecocopter
Ecocopter, May 08, 2024 - Santiago, Chile - Ecocopter, a leading Chilean company in aeronautics and air services in the Southern Cone of America, announces that it has reached a comprehensive agreement with the specialized air services company Helisul Aviação, one of the most important of its kind in Brazil and owner of the largest fleet in Latin America, with the aim of merging their operations to facilitate the expansion of both companies in the international market.

The operation was carried out through the acquisition of 100% of the controlling interest of Ecocopter S.A. and Ecocopter Ecuador S.A. by Helisul. The agreement will allow both companies to embark on a path of growth and consolidation in the international market thanks to the experience and support of Helisul, a company with 52 years of experience and a fleet of 58 aircraft (planes and helicopters). Helisul operates in eight major cities in Brazil, offering a comprehensive portfolio of specialized air services, base operations, maintenance, leasing, aeromedical transportation, and tourist flights.

Additionally, through Ecocopter, Helisul Aviação will gain access to an air services market in the Southern Cone of America which presents significant expansion figures, as well as the generation of synergies between the two organizations and the implementation of the best practices they possess. This will further consolidate their current positions with solid international recognition, operational excellence, professional quality, and high standards in air solutions.

Finally, both companies have communicated this agreement to various stakeholders, including creditors, clients, business partners, and other institutions and authorities, with the aim of indicating that this agreement will benefit the world of air services and establish a new standard that will allow the region to stand out on the international stage as a world-class player.

Helisul's fleet consists of 58 aircraft (planes and helicopters). It has 26 hangars distributed throughout Brazil, 6 FBO bases, 15 fixed bases, 7 panoramic helipads, in addition to the administrative headquarters in Curitiba.
