Helis, September 17, 2018 - US Navy MH-60S Seahawk helicopters of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron Seven (HSC-7 "Dusty Dogs") attached to Carrier Strike Group 12 and Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) were recalled past Saturday to Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia.
Operating from the large naval base will be better positioned to provide support if required in the aftermath of Hurricane Florence, now a tropical storm.
Abraham Lincoln remains underway after Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command ordered all U.S. Navy ships in the Hampton Roads area to sortie on September 10, ahead of the storm, which continues to bring high winds and rain to the Mid-Atlantic coast.
