Aviation Equipment received registration from the Indian Air Forces

Rostec, February 04, 2015 - The Aviation Service Center (ASC), Aviation Equipment, a member of Rostec Corporation, received registration from the Air Force of India.

This gives the Holding the opportunity to participate in tenders for the supply of parts, components and assemblies, and the maintenance and repair of the Indian air fleet.

The document is valid for three years and may be extended.

Among the products that ASC will provide will be for repairs and the component base of the An-32 transport aircraft and the Ilyushin Il, as well as Mil helicopters (Mi-8, Mi-17, Mi-171B, Mi-25/Mi-35), according to a press release from the Holding.

At the meeting held with representatives of the Indian Air Force and the CEO of ASC Oleg Vasiliev, representatives of agencies confirmed that they are ready to cooperate with the Aviation Equipment, OJSC. In addition, the Holding is the only possible supplier for the equipment that the Indian aircraft need. Currently, the Indian Air Force is discussing the possibility of concluding with the Holding a long-term contract for the supply and maintenance and repair of components for the next 3-5 years.

"In the near future, the Indian Air Force should specify its needs and send them to us," said CEO of Aviation Equipment, OJSC, Maxim Kuzyuk "They recognize that no one other than us today can supply them with this specific equipment. By entering into a contract with the same holding company, they receive guaranteed timing and quality prices from the manufacturer of their products."

According to Maxim Kuzyuk, in terms of geographic expansion, the ASC will actively work to develop its ties not only in India but also in the whole of East Asia and the Pacific.

Now both sides are working on the issue of cooperation on long-term contracts. These documents can be signed in the first half of 2015.

ASC Aviation Equipment is a subsidiary of the parent company, Aviation Equipment, OJSC. The company was founded for the purpose of setting unified marketing policies, strategies, supply, and after sales service of various product series of Aviation Equipment, OJSC. ASC is the largest supplier of spare parts, components and assemblies for the aviation market in Russia and CIS countries. ASC was opened by Aviation Equipment, OJSC in March 2013, taking into account the best international practices and is the first such center in Russia. Its warehouse complex with its customs warehouse and distribution center for aircraft components is just 3 kilometers from the airport terminals at Sheremetyevo Airport. The effective storage area of the complex totals 1,700 square meters.
