Brazilian Navy, November 20, 2019 - On October 26 took place the last flight of an AH-11A Super Lynx ending 23 years and 28,000 flight hours of service with the Brazilian Naval Aviation.
In a farewell ceremony at the squadron base, their replacement, an AH-11B Wild Lynx (serial N-4001) took off from São Pedro da Aldeia to meet AH-11A Super Lynx N-4006 on her return of the 15th rotation with UNIFIL off the coast of Lebanon in a similar way that happened in 1996 when the then Super Lynx N-4001 received Lynx N-3026 during the return from BOGATUN 96 marking the last flight of the original AH-11 Lynx model.
N-4006 will now leave to Leonardo's facility at Yeovil, United Kingdom to start the modernization process in which it will receive new engines (CTS800-4N), sensors and a modern cockpit.
