Philippine Air Force Adds First Two Subaru Bell 412EPX Helicopters

Philippine Air Force (PAF) officially accepted its first two of eight Subaru Bell 412EPX helicopters, strengthening the country’s tactical helilift and multi-role military aviation capabilities.

The induction represented the culmination of a long procurement process that began after the cancellation of a controversial 2018 Canadian Bell 412EPi order amid political and human rights concerns. Under the revised Horizon 2 AFP Modernization Program, the Philippines later shifted to the Japanese-built Subaru Bell 412EPX variant, allowing the military to continue expanding its Bell 412 fleet while bypassing the earlier diplomatic dispute.
