Russian Civil Helicopters Distributor in Asia/Pacific

Hong Kong new company United Helicopters International Group Ltd become official distributor of Russian-made civil helicopters (Mi-171, Ka-32 and Ansat) in Greater China, Malaysia and Australia.

Russian Helicopters, February 09, 2017 - Moscow - Russian Helicopters JSC has signed distribution agreement with United Helicopters International Group Limited.

The company will become official distributor of Russian-made helicopters in Greater China, Malaysia and Australia.

Launch of Russian Helicopters' first distributor of civil helicopters appears to be a significant step taken to implement its development strategy. Distribution area authorized by the agreement covers Greater China Region, Malaysia and Australia. Apart from product sales and marketing promotion of civil Russian-made helicopters in the designated area, objectives set for the cooperation will also include building up relationships with leasing companies.

In order to further increase our share in the global market of civil helicopters, we are interested to develop networks of dealers and companies which will promote our civil helicopters, in particular Ka-32 and Mi-171 types, and also Ansat on the markers which Russian Helicopters JSC assume to be strategic ones. Helicopters of KA-32 type have been actively used in China for several years for fire fighting and rescue missions. Helicopters Ka-32 for several years actively exploited in China as fire and rescue. Produced by the coaxial scheme, this helicopter is considered to be one of the best to deal with complex fires in cities. Therefore, it has proven itself in China with its highlands and modern metropolises.

Helicopters of Mi-171 also have got a long history of exploitation on the territory of China for transportation of people and their evacuation from disaster zones, as well as for transportation of various goods, including medical supplies, humanitarian aid and construction materials.

Light multipurpose helicopter ANSAT has the most spacious cabin in its class and can carry onboard from 7 to 9 passengers, depending on configuration. The helicopter has a top speed up to 275 km / h, its distance range is more than 500 km. Depending on the equipment installed on the helicopter, ANSAT can be used for passenger transportation, cargo transportation, medevac, emergency and rescue tasks, as well as for education and training, and also patrolling purposes. Chine was the first foreign customer of ANSAT helicopter where it will be used for medical evacuation purposes.

Russian Helicopters, (part of State Corporation Rostec), is one of the global leaders in helicopter production and the only helicopter design and production powerhouse in Russia. Russian Helicopters was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in Moscow. The company comprises five helicopter production facilities, two design bureaus, a spare parts production and repair facility, as well as an aftersale service branch responsible for maintenance and repair in Russia and all over the world. Its helicopters are popular among Russian ministries and state authorities (Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Emergency Control Ministry), operators (Gazpromavia, UTair), major Russian corporations. In 2015 its IFRS revenues increased 29.5% to RUB 220.0 billion. Deliveries reached 212 helicopters.
