As of 2024, Airbus Helicopters employs around 300 people in Fort Erie, Ontario. Since 1984 (first as MBB, then as Eurocopter), it has delivered nearly 600 helicopters in Canada. This facility supports 760 helicopters of eight different types in service across Canada, working with over 220 operators who accumulate more than 275,000 flight hours per year. The facility completes, customizes, and delivers helicopters for Canadian customers and is a center of excellence for light single gearboxes, as well as the sole source for critical composite components supporting aircraft worldwide. Each year, Airbus Fort Erie ships 34,000 parts to customers globally
