History C/N Tracking
Avincis is a European aerial emergency services provider headquartered in Lisbon, Portugal, established in 2023 following the rebranding of Babcock's offshore and emergency aviation operations after their acquisition by investment funds Ancala, Canson Capital Partners and Hermes GPE.

The Italian operation was established in 2016 as Babcock Italia, following Babcock's acquisition of INAER Italia, which had previously operated as part of the former Avincis Group. In 2023, the business was rebranded as Avincis Italia in line with the group's new corporate identity.

As of 2024 Avincis is Europe's largest Aerial Emergency Service operator with over 200 aircraft operating at a global level, with home territories in Spain, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Portugal and Finland, and with operations in Chile and Mozambique.

In September 2025, Avincis entered the wind offshore market with the acquisition of Danish KN Helicopters

As of June 2026, the total Avincis fleet across all subsidiaries consists of approximately 210 aircraft, including around 170 helicopters and 40 fixed-wing aircraft. The group operates roughly 60 Airbus helicopters, including Super Pumas, H145s, H135s, and AS350/355s, supporting missions ranging from Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) and offshore transport to search and rescue (SAR), firefighting, and aerial surveillance. The fleet also includes nearly 70 Leonardo helicopters, the majority of which are AW139s deployed on HEMS, SAR, and offshore energy missions. These are complemented by AW169s and AW109s operating across a variety of mission profiles.
