The Hangar Flight Museum

Located near Calgary International Airport (CYYC), The Hangar Flight Museum celebrates Canada’s rich aviation history and innovation. Originally founded in 1975 by aviation enthusiasts as the Aero Space Museum of Calgary, it occupies a former World War II-era British Commonwealth Air Training Plan hangar that once housed training aircraft. The museum preserves and showcases a diverse collection of civilian and military aircraft, including vintage biplanes, Cold War jets, and helicopters that have served in Canada’s skies.

Beyond its aircraft displays, The Hangar Flight Museum serves as an educational hub for visitors of all ages.
