Established July 2022 at Kota Kinabalu air station with AW139 helicopters M503-1 and M503-2.
Squadron 503 missions include monitor the Malaysian maritime zone as well as maritime domain awareness, over the horizon targeting, special forces Operations support and air crew training.
07-Jul-22 - The Royal Malaysian Navy received the first 2 of 3 AW139 helicopters for the new 503 Squadron. The third aircraft is scheduled for delivery in September #AW139
