US Christ LifeFlight

Air Medical Services

Established in April 2020, Christ LifeFlight is a dedicated air medical transport service launched through a partnership between The Christ Hospital Health Network and Air Methods, a leading national provider of emergency air medical services. This program marked the first time the hospital network operated its own dedicated transport aircraft, a EC145, which is specifically equipped as a "mobile ICU" to handle critically ill patients, including those with severe cardiac emergencies or COVID-19. While the network’s main hospital in Mt. Auburn has maintained a rooftop helipad since the early 1980s, the LifeFlight helicopter is primarily based at Cincinnati Municipal Lunken Airport (LUK) and frequently serves the Liberty Township Medical Center helipad to facilitate rapid transfers between facilities and from emergency scenes across the Greater Cincinnati region.
