When Guadalcanal arrived in Norfolk on 1 March, we flew the aircraft off the ship just as it began to snow. The snow quit late the following evening after dumping about 17 inches of snow on Hampton Roads. I later flew this aircraft when assigned to HC-16 later that year. HC-16  | |
