Cmdr. Paul Lewis was at the stick. Flew with him in San Diego on the H3's. Best damn pilot and ex academy guy who would have become commandant. Huge loss of a qualified pilot and bird. Likely a tailrotor failure they said. Coast Guard Air Station San Diego
