The reservoir for the Kittiwake Field is the Upper Jurassic Fulmar Formation sandstone, unconformably overlying the Upper Triassic Skagerrak Formation sandstone. But, the Kittiwake platform no longer produces and its drilling facilities were decommissioned in 2009.
However, this platform is the focus for the Greater Kittiwake Area, which imports from the nearby Goosander, Grouse, Gadwall and Mallard and sends it out via the Forties pipeline.
